Art@The Rowers | 2023 Annual Acquisitive Art Exhibition and Sale

Mosman Rowers launched a highly successful inaugural Art @The Rowers Exhibition last year, now a regular annual event, the 2023 exhibition will be running throughout March showcasing the work of talented local artists.

 Renowned Australian artist Ben Quilty is guest judge for the 2023 acquisitive exhibition, presenting winners at the Opening/Awards night on Sat 4th March. The Club is delighted to have the support of Ben, bringing a high level of esteem to the winners. Ben has won a series of prestigious painting prizes: the 2014 Prudential Eye Award, 2011 Archibald Prize with his portrait of artist Margaret Olley, and 2009 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize, and has been described as one of Australia's most famous living artists.

 This years’ major sponsor is Richard Crookes Construction, a local family who have a strong interest in supporting the arts. Richard Crookes Construction delivered Sydney Modern for the Art Gallery of NSW and Ngununggula Regional Art Gallery, in Bowral, Richard Crookes is proud to support the growing arts and cultural community.

 The Members Choice award sponsor is local Arts supplier ArtSmart in Manly.

 A large number of very high calibre of entries ensures a wonderful exhibition  featuring 53 selected works, inspired by our beautiful Sydney Harbour, including its foreshore, coves, inlets, wildlife, animals, people and the surrounding built environment.

 All works for sale, other than the first prize entry which will be permanently displayed at the Club.  

 Entry is free and the exhibition will run from 2nd – 29th March.  Enjoy the exhibition and grab a coffee or lunch by beautiful Mosman Bay.
