One of Sydney’s most loved harbourside swimming pools is the new home to the latest in the our string of waterfront venues. ‘Oh Boy’ is a cafe by day and event space by night, housed at the iconic Andrew Boy Charlton Pool in The Domain. Opening on 15th September 2022, the cafe is a destination for locals, travellers and – of course – swimmers.

The menu plays to the nostalgia of classic Australian pool culture. Eliciting feelings of endless summer, it includes playful renditions of Australian food icons – think cornflake cookies, chicken schnitzel sandwiches, ice-cream-on-a-stick, plus an Aussie version of the French bistro classic, steak-frites, finished with a spiced vegemite butter. 

The menu also celebrates some of Sydney’s best local bakers and makers – from Merna crumpets to smallgoods by LP’s Quality Meats, Fabbrica pasta and seasonal gelato by Ciccone & Sons. There’s plenty for the health conscious too – with a selection of protein packed vegan smoothies and a seasonal ‘Oh To Go’ takeaway offering designed for pool goers on the run. As for those settling in for a long lunch, there will be a short but sharp wine list showcasing young and interesting varietals as well as a signature poolside spritz and martini.
